Making A Purchase
Making a purchase could not be easier. Just browse our store, and add any items that you wish to buy into the shopping cart. After you have finished your selection, click on 'Checkout' and you will be asked for a few details that we need to be able to complete the order. We accept credit card payment. If you are shopping from North America or anywhere else, place your order and your credit card company will convert the transaction to US Dollars or your own currency. We accept Visa and Mastercard. We do not charge for any item until it is ready to ship. Backordered items are not charged until they are shipped. You may send your credit card information via phone, fax, snail mail or over the Internet. When confirmation of order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. In the case of a change of price, we will always contact you first to ensure that the price is acceptable. |

Shipping And Handling
- DELIVERY POLICY We try to dispatch orders the same or next working day where possible. Standard Delivery We like to keep things simple so we offer two types of Standard delivery: • 1st Class Royal Mail for orders up to £60.00 is £4.50 You should expect to receive your order between 5 – 7 days of placing your order. • Royal Mail Special Delivery for orders up to £60.00 is £5.50 You should expect to receive your order between 3 – 5 days of placing your order. • For orders over £60.00, delivery is free. If your order is particularly large or heavy (over 1kg) this will incurr a higher postage cost which we will inform you about prior to your order being dispatched. We aim to dispatch your order within 24 hours of receipt but it may take up to 2 days at busy times like Halloween and Christmas . We regret we cannot dispatch orders on Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays. Express delivery The cost for shipping parcels through our express service is £7.50 via Royal Mail Special Delivery Next day. You should expect to receive your order within 1 - 3 days of placing your order with Captain Costume. If your order is particularly large or heavy (over 1kg) this will incurr a higher postage cost which we will inform you about prior to your order being dispatched. Telephone orders We can take your order over the phone but we regret this incurrs an addional fee of £3.00 not including delivery charge). If you would like to place an order by phone please ring us on 01494 442 112). This service is available during office hours Monday to Friday 9:00am to 5:00pm. If we are unable to take your call, please leave a message and we will call you back as soon as possible. Please note the offices are closed on all UK Public Holidays. Urgent orders If you need your order in a hurry please contact us so we can make arrangements to ‘fast-track’ your order through the system. We will calculate the cost of delivery for you based on the weight and size of your order and inform you of the cost. Additional Information Deliveries are subject to stock availability. If we have a problem with your order such as unavailability of an item we will contact you either by e-mail or telephone. These details are for UK mainland only: customers overseas will be contacted with any additional charges BEFORE we accept your order; please see below for all overseas orders. International Any orders received from customers outside the UK will have the shipping cost calculated based on the order. We will notify of these costs and get your acceptance before shipping your order. The delivery time will be extended and you should expect the delivery to reach you within 7 – 10 days. Additional taxes and customs charges are the responsibility of the customer. Paying by Cheque We accept company and personal cheques. If you wish to pay by personal cheque this will need to be cleared before we dispatch the goods, this usually takes a minimum of three working days. Please do not send cash for mail order purchases. |

Returns Policy
We hope you are delighted with your purchase however we understand there may be occasion to return your purchase. If you do wish to return all or part of your purchase please follow the steps below: • Please contact us immediately either by e-mail or telephone to tell us why you need to return your purchase. We can also discuss whether you would like a replacement or refund. • The items must be in thier original packaging and unused and in a saleable condition. Make-up, underwear and teeth must be unopened and with their original seals in place. • Items must be returned to Captain Costume within 7 days of you receiving the delivery. We advise customers to use a secure method of returing the items such as Royal Mail special delivery, as we cannot be held responsible for loss or damage of items being returned. • When we recieve the items we will check their condition meets the requirements above. The refund will be made back to the card that was used to purchase the item, or a cheque will be issued if a card was not used. Damaged or faulty goods Of course we will be happy to refund or replace damaged or faulty goods. However we are not liable in respect of any defect arising from fair wear and tear, willful damage, negligence, abnormal working conditions, misuse or alteration or repair of the items without our approval. Please follow the instructions under the ‘returns’ policy for returning your damaged/ faulty item. Captain Costume will refund any postage costs that may occur when returning damaged or faulty goods only and not returns due to wrong sizing or that are unsuitable. Order Cancellation You may cancel all or part of your order if you so wish. You must notify us as soon as possible, either by phone, fax or e-mail. If you send an e-mail we will note the time the e-mail was read, not when it was sent. You will not be charged any penalty and your payment method will also be cancelled. If we have already dispatched your order you will need to return the items to us within 7 days of you receiving the goods. We will not be able to refund the postage cost for returning these goods. Please read the returns policy in the ‘Delivery and Returns’ section for more information. When we receive the goods we will check their packaging and ensure the items are re-saleable. We will then issue a refund to the card he original payment was made or issue a cheque where applicable. IMPORTANT When returning items please include the invoice or a copy of the invoice.
